2006
Eva-Last is born
The founders of Eva-Last recognise a need for sustainable, durable decking free of the downfalls of traditional timber. Branding is developed and what is to become Africa’s largest decking company is born.
2007
German technology is introduced
Eva-Last enters the decking market with an attractive European wood plastic composite (WPC), hollow, tongue-and-groove decking profile.
2008
Eva-Last switches to Sentai WPC supplier
Eva-Last changes its supplier to Sentai WPC, introduces Eva-Last to new international markets, and expands its range to include grooved solid and double-sided decking boards which use hidden clips for fastening. The success of Eva-Last helps Sentai WPC to expand operations and increase extrusion line product.
2009
Eva-Last manufactures Eva-tech locally
After three years in the composite market Eva-Last invests in a local South African composite extrusion factory. The Eva-tech Horizon profile is created and later developed further by Sentai WPC.
2010
Eva-Last wins at Climate Change
Leadership Awards
Eva-Last wins the prestigious Green Product Award at the Climate Change Leadership Awards and makes a pledge to be responsible for cutting emissions and further developing the environmental benefits of its composite formula.
2012
Eva-Last expands partnership with Sentai WPC
Eva-Last and Sentai WPC form a partnership and collaborate to produce a diverse range for Eva-tech composite decking. The team begins engineering capped co-extruded decking products.
2013
RapidRail is rebranded & new products gain popularity
2014
Solar power installations begin
Along with further developments in sustainable raw materials, the Eva-Last manufacturing factory begins installation of 32 858 solar panels, equal to 88 716 m2 of factory roofing space. An average of 44 000 kWh of solar power is generated each day.
2014
Capping technology & HULK fasteners hit the market
Eva-Last is the first to introduce a full co-extruded capped composite range to the South African market. Eva-Last also expands into the fasteners market with durable, warranty-matching HULK fasteners.
2015
ClipClad (VistaClad) & Evolver fencing are created
Eva-Last grows its product range further to include composite cladding and fencing. The additions of ClipClad (later rebranded asVistaClad) and Evolver fencing create an impressive offering.

I-Series & TIER indoor flooring launch
2018
Apex technology enters the market, ClipClad is rebranded
All Eva-Last systems, branding, and messaging are updated and prepared for greater international distribution. ClipClad is redesigned as an advanced, premium bamboo composite cladding range and rebranded as VistaClad.
2019
Oasis composite pickets for fencing is launched in the US
2019/20
Lifespan is added to the Eva-Last range
Eva-Last develops a lightweight hybrid aluminium composite beam and architectural system which utilises an aluminium core with a composite wood coating. The new Lifespan architectural system is met with great success.
2020
Eva-Last enjoys unprecedented growth
Eva-Last reaches a milestone with distributors in over 30 countries. In response to this incredible growth, the company strategy, business model, and future structure is redeveloped.
2021
Launch of glass fiber technology into our APEX product line, in the form of APEX PLUS
Adding greater board stability, controlling expansion and contraction in extreme weather conditions and increasing span capability.
2022
Launch of Pioneer digital print technology, a first of its kind
Replication of hardwood species into a composite board, that’s almost indistinguishable from the original timber. The core of the product also incorporates the GFR (glass fiber reinforcement) technology.
