Eva-Last Americas Welcomes Industry Leader Bill Ross As Senior VP To Drive Market Expansion
It’s all-hands on deck as Eva-Last appoint composites subject matter expert Bill Ross as Senior Vice-President: Sales & Marketing to establish the global composite building materials manufacturer in the Americas.
Ross, a well-known professional in the composites and building industry, was enticed out of a short-lived retirement to grow market share and penetration for Eva-Last across North America, Canada, Central and South America, as well as the Caribbean.
Eva-Last boasts a large international footprint supplying advanced bamboo-plastic composite products to the construction industry in over 30 countries worldwide. Despite an extensive portfolio of composite decking, deck fasteners, cladding, railing, architectural beams and SPC (Stone Polymer Composite) flooring; targeted to the commercial and residential sectors, the brand remains relatively unknown in the United States. As SVP Sales and Marketing, Ross’s primary focus will be to penetrate the mature composite materials market in the Americas by leveraging the company’s significant manufacturing capacity and global brand reputation for innovation and sustainability.
“The challenge of positioning a global brand like Eva-Last as a household name in the United States and Canada was an opportunity I just could not refuse,” enthused Ross.
A charter member and past president of the North American Deck & Rail Association (NADRA), Ross’s history as a pioneering player in the composites industry was a perfect match for Eva-Last. His maverick approach to manufacturing, retail and distribution of traditional timber decking, saw him develop the first embossed composite decking, grooved boards, hidden fastening systems, and multichromatic and capped composite products for the American market, way ahead of competitors. With a comprehensive background at Rickles, Boonton Building Materials, and as VP of Sales at 84 Lumber, Ross has a thorough understanding of the idiosyncrasies of the building retail sector, while entrepreneurial tenures in construction, installation and design, gave him hands-on experience in the shortcomings and opportunities within the decking industry itself.
“Bill Ross was the ideal candidate for this position,” commented CEO and co-founder of Eva-Last, Marc Minne.
“As we embark on our aggressive expansion strategy, Bill Ross’s experience and connections across the composites distribution and retail markets, along with his subject matter expertise in all-things composite and strategic thinking is a huge asset for us,” adds Minne.
Eva-Last’s recent acquisition of Fortress Deck Products LLC, provides direct access to an established distribution network and partnerships with several of the largest retailers in the United States. Eva-Last’s proven portfolio of eco-friendly engineered composite products will continue to be marketed through The Home Depot, Lowes, and Amazon, as well as independent distributors.
Ross proclaims, “In an industry where the competitors’ limited product lines all look pretty much the same, Eva-Last’s unique breadth of products, aesthetics that are both familiar and edgy, and performance tested by the planet’s worst climates; will gain quick traction in both the residential and commercial sectors.”
“We’re confident that our sustainable high-tech bamboo-plastic composite products, competitive pricing structures and customised business solutions will speak for themselves,” asserts Minne.
